Artist – Cinzia Gagliardi

Biography English:

Cinzia Gagliari was born in Consenza, Italy. Since she was an adolescent, she was very keen on photography and used the cameras her father had at home.

After graduating in Modern Foreign Languages from Rome University and in Classical Piano from Conservatorio S. Cecilia, she started teaching music in state schools in Rome; teaching is still her job.

The desire to cultivate her passion for art (photography and street art) brought her to study photography at UPTER University in Rome.

She loves wandering around Rome to catch images, trying to discover the poetry that hides in well-known places/things in order to emphasize them emotionally.

Her photos were part of collective exhibitions in Rome (2010-2015): Assoc. Culturale “Il Geranio”, Casa della Cultura Villa De Sanctis, Palazzo Englelfield, Libraries “Il Quarticciolo” and “Gianni Rodari”, Felt Music Club, and bookshop “Il Mattone”.

Cinzia was asked to participate in the exhibition “Celebration of Friends” at the SM gallery. Her friendship with Stephanie initiated before her arrival to Rome through a local networking website. Once in Rome, they met in person and the friendship has continued. Cinzia shared many walks in Rome with Stephanie before her move to the Amalfi Coast to show her some of the off the beaten paths of the usual tourist destinations.

Knowing her passion for photography, they discussed Cinzia’s participation in the show and Stephanie selected a couple of images that reminded her of their friendship and time spent living in Rome.
