le piccole cose – open call for artwork

le piccole cose is an annual show scheduled for the months of November and December intended to be more of a holiday market exhibition. Works featured in this show are small and are available for purchase at 100€ and under so that you can find something unique and artistic for your holiday shopping without breaking your wallet.

Open call to Artists

Artists in the Salerno area and those willing to ship to Italy are welcome to submit images of your works for consideration in the show. Space is limited and, if approved, your items can be received before the end of October or in early November.

Artists are responsible for shipping to the gallery and the return of unsold works after the show. We will reuse your packing material or containers in which you ship your works to return the unsold works at the end of the show.

Art work requirements:

  • Works are for sale and priced at 100€ or less which includes the gallery’s commission
  • Works are not larger than 50 x 50 cm (including frame)
  • Framed works should have a gallery wire on the back to be hung on our gallery hook system (not brackets!)
  • Matted works ready for framing need to be protected in a plastic sleeve to be placed in a flip bin or placed on an easel
  • 3D objects should include presentable packaging that fits your work for gift giving
  • No ceramics, sorry. Vietri has plenty of ceramics shops and we are showing other kinds of art.
  • Works are labeled with: Artist’s name, artwork title, year of production, and medium. Include separately your artist’s bio (in English or Italian), a link to your website or social media page for your art, and a price list for the items submitted.

Our gallery guidelines:

Upon acceptance to our show, we will…

  • promote your work on our social media pages to an international audience
  • include an artist’s bio page on our website with links to your website or social media pages
  • not charge an exhibition fee
  • give a generous commission to the artist for works sold (most galleries split 50/50, but we give more back to our artists!)
  • give our clients the option to purchase remotely and have works shipped to them
